This original A Frame cabin, located right on Maple Lake, was completely renovated in 2016. There are three bedrooms and a bathroom in the main house, plus a bunkhouse for kids or extra guests. The main cabin and bunkhouse can sleep up to 10 people comfortably. Maple Lake is a quiet, 400 acre, oval shaped lake with cabins on only half the lake - perfect for fishing, boating, water skiing, or just enjoying. Maple Lake has walleye, northern, sunnies, crappies and large mouth bass. You can often catch fish right off the dock! The North and West side of the lake is a State Wild Life Management area. Boat traffic is very light making for good water skiing and other water activities with so few cabins. There is also great ice fishing and snowmobiling on Maple Lake. The cabin is fully winterized.

Welcome to Reuss Retreat on Smith Lake What a wonderful place to get away! The cabin is at the end of a quiet dead end road, so you don’t have to worry about a traffic. A 100’ dock leads past the cattails into beautiful Smith Lake, well known for excellent sunnies and crappies (though I have done very well with Northern and Bass over the years). It’s a quiet lake, especially during weekdays, so you don’t have to battle lots of other boats. The lake is nearly 700 acres, big enough to have variety but small enough that you can enjoy the whole thing. A 14’ aluminum row boat is available for use (feel free to bring your own small motor). As you can see from the photos, it's not a swimming beach by any stretch, but it's a lovely setting. In the spring and early summer the water is crystal clear. As the season wears on the water grows cloudy (which actually helps with the fishing!). The cabin is a year round home, so it's perfect for a getaway in the middle of winter. Smith Lake is well known in the area for ice fishing, with schools of crappies and large Northern drawing ice houses onto the ice. The setting is also perfect for a quiet get-a-way, by yourself or with a few friends. Lounge around, put together some puzzles, and play some games. The home, built in 2004, brings peace and comfort. The front door opens into a vaulted living/dining/kitchen with knotty pine on the ceiling. Three bedrooms are down the hall: the master bedroom with a queen sized bed and master bath (with shower), a second bedroom with a queen bed, and a third with twin bunk beds and another twin bed. The futon in the living room opens into a full sized bed as well. A bath with tub and shower is on the main floor. We are new to VRBO and have been hard to work to make the cabin as comfortable as possible. In 2017 we added brand new sheets/towels/pillows and a deck on the back and an updated entry porch. in 2018 we upgraded he exterior, adding a retaining wall and rock all around the house. It looks lovely. We have a neighbor who serves as our used to own his own resort and will make you feel welcome and at home. He's available if any issue arises during your stay.

It features three bedrooms, two bedrooms with queen beds and a open second level with 5 bunk beds. The perfect get away for families or friends. The main floor with an incredible panoramic view of Le Homme Dieu Lake has several comfy gathering spots. The kitchen is fully equipped and ready to help you prepare your lakeside patio meals. Watch a movie, play pool, enjoy a game of ping pong, read a book or take a short walk to play a game of golf at the Alexandria Country Club. The Alexandria community and this cabin retreat has something for everyone. Kayaks, paddleboat, pontoon or paddle-board available for a fee. There are two bedrooms, full-service kitchen, full bath and living, dining areas. We have some basics stocked in the kitchen - coffee, tea, eggs, bread, milk, orange juice, condiments. The kitchen has plenty of cookware and utensils, gas stove, microwave and coffee maker. The large living room is the perfect space to relax and enjoy time with your group, plan your day or night exploring the area or settle in for a game or movie. Guests will have access to the entire main floor unit of the home described above and shown in the pictures.
